  • Participant – Takes part in triathlons occasionally but with no specific preparation

 

  • Recreational – Takes part in triathlons regularly with some specific preparation

 

  • Competitive – Takes part in triathlons with specific goals and some specific preparation

POSSIBLE TRAINING STRATEGIES

  • Self trained – Set your own generic training plan from own knowledge or a book/online plan
  • Self coached – Set yourself a bespoke plan based on own knowledge
  • Trained plan by a coach – following a generic plan provided by a coach
  • Remote coached – set a bespoke training plan by a coach not local and with restricted contact
  • Fully coached – set a bespoke training plan by a coach that is local and that you have regular face to face contact with
